SB1011 – DBu Switch Extension

Purpose

When using the DBu Digital Belt Pack Transmitter’s programmable switch function, it is common to require a longer switch for easier use. These instructions describe the steps necessary to attach a switch extension.

Tools You Will Need:

  • P1353, Paddle Actuator Extension
  • Locktite 380 “BlackMax” or other liquid (not gel) cynoacrylate adhesive (i.e.: Super Glue ®)
  • Toothpick(s)
  • Paper or cloth (for wiping)

Step 2: Apply a very small droplet of adhesive to the tip of a toothpick and then apply it all around inside the cavity of the P1353, Extension part. Wipe away any excess adhesive from the open face of the part if present.

CAUTION: Use only a small amount of adhesive. Excess will be forced out of the glued interface when applied and may flow onto adjacent switch and/or housing surfaces.

Step 3: Carefully align the P1353 with the switch actuator on the unit and, with the switch moved toward center, push it firmly down over the switch actuator until seated.
