Job Description:

Under general supervision performs a wide variety of routine entry level and some intermediate level tasks involving the use of mechanical and electronic test equipment.  An employee at this level performs product testing and inspection, maintains test cables and must be observant of discrepancies.  Under direct supervision develops QC testing procedures form outlines and performs some metrology tasks.  Assignments require that established time standards be consistently achieved.

Although the above is typical of the duties and responsibilities normally performed, additional duties and responsibilities requiring essentially the same skills, knowledge and dexterity may be required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High school graduate or equivalent required.  At least three years of progressive and directly related electronic experience required.  Electronic Technician or related schooling may be used for one year of the required experience. 

MACHINES, EQUIPMENT & TOOLS NORMALLY USED

Various hand and power tools, voltmeters, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, power supply, signal generator, frequency counter, modulation meter, audio analyzer and related equipment.  Approved safety, regular or prescription glasses required.  Additional safety equipment may be required in accordance with the appropriate Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Normal factory conditions with possible exposure to electrical shock and frequency noise level. Tasks require sitting for prolonged periods, walking, carrying and some lifting.
