WD Firmware Update v15May2025
M2Ra v1.18 (SUPER)/v1.04 (FPGA, H/W v0-0)/v2.03 (FPGA, H/W v1-0)
- The M2RA now initiates a clean shutdown when batteries are running very low. When this happens, the message “Powering off…” appears on the LCD until the batteries are removed or the receiver is switched off.
- Flexlist entries with compatibility modes set to D2 or HDM now retain those values when power is cycled.
- The default frequency for band B1C1 is now 545 MHz, which is compatible with all Locale settings.
- Added band B1+ as a smart tune frequency range choice in band B1C1 when the Locale is set to “NA”. When B1+ is selected, frequencies 614.050 through 614.375 MHz are available. These are “guard band” frequencies authorized in the US and Canada.
- Corrected tuning range in M2RA-B1C1 when Locale is set to “NA” to include missing guard band frequencies 614.050 MHz to 614.375 MHz.
WD Firmware Update v06Nov2024
M2Ra v1.16 (SUPER)/v1.04 (FPGA, H/W v0-0)/v2.03 (FPGA, H/W v1-0)
- If Battery Type is “Rechargable”, the battery status indicator on the main page now reports “FULL”, “OK” or “LOW” instead of a percentage of charge.
- The title of the “Battery Warning” page has been changed to “Battery Alert”, the name of the menu option which opens it.
WD Firmware Update v26Jul2024
M2Ra v1.15 (SUPER)/v1.04 (FPGA, H/W v0-0)/v2.03 (FPGA, H/W v1-0)
- On the main page, the compatibility mode is now displayed between the two diversity indicators.
- A new “Edit Name” page allows the receiver name to be edited using the front panel user interface. In the Settings menu, choose “Edit Name” to open the page. The current receiver name will be displayed. If the length of the name is less than the maximum of 16 characters, an “end” marker (“>>”) will be displayed.
- The currently selected character in the name is indicated by the block cursor. Press MENU to move the cursor. When the cursor reaches the end of the name, it wraps around to the beginning.
- To change a character, press MENU to move the cursor to the desired location. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to change the
character. HINT: when cycling through the available characters with the UP and DOWN arrow keys, moving down from ‘A’ or up from
‘@’ truncates the string at that point and the selected character is replaced by the end marker (“>>”). Press the UP or DOWN key
again to restore the name and continue scrolling through the list of available characters. - To change the case of an alphabetic character, press the MENU+UP key combination to toggle between uppercase and lowercase.
– To append a character when the length of the name is less than 16, press MENU to advance the cursor to the “>>” end marker.
Then press the UP or DOWN buttons to change the end marker to the desired character. The end marker will shift to the right
if the length of the name is still less than 16 characters. - To truncate the name at any point, press MENU to move the cursor to the desired location and press the MENU+BACK button combination.
The selected character will be replaced by the “>>” end marker.
- On the main page, press the BACK button to alternate between two
top-of-page display options:- Receiver name on 1st line in large font, frequency on 2nd line in small font.
- Receiver name on 1st line in small font, frequency on 2nd line in large font.
The receiver name font settings persist through power cycles.
- D2 compatibility mode updated to improve reception of weak or distorted signals.
