DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Under general supervision performs a wide variety of advanced and complex level tasks involving the use of mechanical and electronic test equipment. An employee at this level is considered a senior level electronic technician and assigned complex level tasks involving troubleshooting, testing, quality control, tuning, complicated repairs, interacting with the supervisor to discuss and/or resolve problems and as needed responds to customer telephone calls, assignments require that established time standards be consistently achieved
Although the above is typical of the duties and responsibilities normally performed, additional duties and responsibilities requiring essentially the same skills, knowledge and dexterity may be required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school graduate or equivalent required. At least six years of progressive and directly related electronic experience required. Electronic Technician or related schooling may be used for one year of the required experience. Must pass a standard electronic technician general/specific test
MACHINES, EQUIPMENT & TOOLS NORMALLY USED
Various hand and power tools, voltmeters, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, power supply, signal generator, frequency counter, modulation meter, audio analyzer and related equipment. Approved safety, regular or prescription glasses required. Additional safety equipment may be required in accordance with the appropriate Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).
Normal factory conditions with possible exposure to electrical shock and frequency noise level. Tasks require sitting for prolonged periods, walking, carrying and some lifting.
